Giving

There are many ways to financially support the ministries of OIF or PCCO as a whole. You can give online, through the donation box, or through the mail.

Online

Venmo: Click here or scan the QR code below or search for the account “@pcc-oakland” in Venmo. In the Note, please specify name, email, offering designation. Note there will be a 1.9% + $0.10 fee charged by Venmo, as of Feb 2023.

PayPal: Make a secure online gift with a credit card or via PayPal. Follow the link to be redirected to the PCCO PayPal site. Note there will be a 2.9% + $0.49 processing fee for PayPal, as of Feb 2023.

Small Donate Button

Please note that when you make an online gift with PayPal or Venmo, there will be fees incurred by the church, so we encourage gifts to be made through the donation box or by mail. Additionally, your tax deductible receipt will report the amount the church receives, not the amount that was given (e.g. for a $100 online gift via PayPal, only $96.61 will be tax deductible).

Donation Box

You can give by placing a check payable to PCCO or cash in the donation box during our Sunday worship gatherings. Checks and designated cash envelopes will be recorded on the Sunday when they are received. Please note that your name and address must be clearly identifiable on your check or envelope in order to receive an acknowledgement of your contribution for IRS tax purposes.

Mail a Check

You can give by mailing a check payable to PCCO to the church mailing address below:

Pittsburgh Chinese Church Oakland
134 North Dithridge Street
Pittsburgh, PA 15213

Checks will be recorded on the postmark date on the envelope. For gifts made by mail at the end of the year, IRS regulations require that contributions for a given tax year be postmarked by December 31st of that year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the money go?

Pittsburgh Chinese Church Oakland is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization. Each year, the Church Council prepares a budget, which is subsequently presented to our members for approval. The regular giving of PCCO and OIF members and supporters is used to pay salaries, support ministries, pay bills, and serve our neighborhood.

Annual giving statements will be distributed each January for the prior year. A brief summary of year-to-date giving and expenses is included on each week’s bulletin.

Can I designate my gift for a particular ministry?

When you give online, your online gift will go to the General Fund. On a check, you can specify a special fund or missionary unit in the memo section. Our special funds are: Special Missions Fund, Building Fund, Samaritan Fund. The missionary support of the congregation is part of the Special Missions Fund.
